Friends of 20 Minute Loop

20 Minute Loop would like to thank Karen Penley for involving us in her production of "Not the More Lovely" (closing night was October 22nd).
A smattered, scattered review of the show might read something like this:
A journey into the psyche.
The painful and hilarious realization of the banality of human interaction. The inner voice revealed. The sniffing of bones, the deconstruction of cheesecake. Monkeys, lizards, gargoyles, and beautiful bird women. The spitting of water and expletives. Wind up elephants chasing the dark stage. Howling, digging dogs, and animated screaming. Crinoline, glitter, berry jam and tree branches. Slow burning indie rock woven throughout like silk thread.
"Absolute truths always get me into trouble. Although I prefer the fact that there are usually no special laundry instructions..." Karen Penley
Thank you Karen.
To hear a live performance of some of the text and music from the show, go
here.
Many of these songs will appear in our future live performances, and probably on our next CD, which we will now start fiddling with, unabashedly underground, away from prying eyes.
See you sometime soon.
Love,
20ML
