It's the end of March and ...
... we have just wearily unpacked our van at 2:30 A.M. after a week of shows in Arizona and Southern California with our pals Merrick. We're dried out, parched, sleep deprived, dirty, and we have just driven 2200 soporific miles. But what a great time we had!
Some memorable moments include a crazy "greatest hits of RAWK" jam with an inbred "20 Merrick Loop" at Nita's Hideaway in Tempe... never have you heard such versions of Tom Sawyer, Back in Black, or Sir Duke - You lucky bastards! And who can forget our stay at Phoenix's Super 7 Motel, into which we stealthily crowded only to bundle up tightly in our sleeping bags after having one look at the sheets?!?! eeech... And thanks for such a heartwarming welcome back to SF at our Hotel Utah show with Merrick and Ramona the Pest.
April will find us sequestered away, recuperating and finally finishing a couple of new songs we have been threatening to play for months - we should have them ready for a lone April show at the always wonderful Make Out Room in SF. Joining us will be The Visible Men, a fantastic duo (and occasional trio) from Eugene, OR, and Thee More Shallows (whom you may recognize as some former members of Shackleton). Sunday April 14, 9:00 P.M. 20ML plays second.
Big thanks to everyone who came to see our shows, and to those who helped make them possible: Modified Arts and Leslie Barton, Nita's Hideaway and Charlie Levy and Toni Koch, Solar Culture and the wonderful Steven Eye, Polly Higgins of the Tucson Citizen, Silverlake Lounge and Scott Sterling, Scolari's Office and Zach and Fred, Hotel Utah and Jerry, Damian and Eric, everyone in Merrick, James Combs, Jim Greer & Fortune Records, Ramona the Pest, The Swords Project and YOU!
Please check out our SHOWS page for upcoming events. And very soon - new photos (Live Pix) & video, new 4 song EP, and more touring...
Love,
Nils
